11/06 Rolling restarts

There will be rolling restarts of all realms to remove promotional items not intended for European realms starting at approximately 05:00, Paris time (CEST). Each realm will receive a 15 minute notice prior to being restarted.

This Wednesday there will be a live maintenance, i.e. rolling restarts of all realms between 05:00 and 07:00 CEST. Each realm will receive a 15 minute notice prior to being restarted.
In addition, please note that the European website and forums will not be available from 3am until 5am, Paris time (CEST).

I also bought myself my first mount. Isn’t it lovely?

Whizbang makes noise with her new Mechanostrider.

This hero stuff is getting to be hard work. I’ve been wandering through Westfall, Ashenvale, Redridge Mountains and Duskwood doing errands for every Tom, Dick and Harriet that wants me to do something for them.

I have, however, just reached some significant (and not-so-significant) goals.

Yes, I have reached level 30. It’s an achievement for me, my second character to have reached so high (my first being Zinnwaldite on Moonglade at level 71).

Also, to get the [Shave and a Haircut] achievement, I changed hair colours and back. I couldn’t go as anything but the pink bubblegum gnome that Whizbang is.

Weekly Maintenance, 03/06
This Wednesday there will be an extended maintenance to apply patch 3.1.3. Please note that all European realms will be offline from 03:00 until 11:00, Paris time (CEST).

Additionally we will be merging these Battlegroups:
Bloodlust and Cataclysme -> Cataclysme / Cataclysm
Cyclone and Todbringer -> Cyclone / Wirbelsturm
Conviction and Raserei -> Frenzy / Raserei
Rampage and Férocité -> Rampage / Saccage
Reckoning and Verderbnis -> Reckoning / Abrechnung
Ruin and Glutsturm -> Glutsturm / Emberstorm
Vengeance and Schattenbrand -> Vengeance / Rache

– Note from King Nerd: That’s the one thing that really bothers me about being on the European Realms. Since there is such a huge time difference, their maintenance time is the same as my play time, so I get kicked out often.
I really need to get onto the US Realms, but I can’t really afford it. Oh well. Have fun, kiddies!

Surviving the World - Lesson 132 - Twitter

I’ve been collecting achievements for the last little while. Got myself quite the stack now.

Just checking out the Stormwind Auction House, putting some auctions on the block and then I’m headed to Sentinel Hill to catch myself a Defias Messenger!

After having a good time finishing off a whole lot of quests in Loch Modan, I was able to complete another achievement: [Explore Loch Modan].

Heading back to Ironforge to take Ironband’s Progress Report to Prospector Stormpike, I was able to level up my professions and achieve [Professional Journeyman].

I’m closing in on Level 20 already, and all my professions are nearing Expert.

Must press on.

Due to this merger the following realms will undergo an extended maintenance from 03:00 and 11:00 CEST:
Alonsus, Anachronos, Bronze Dragonflight, Burning Steppes, Darkmoon Faire, Darkspear, Kor’gall, Lightbringer.

I was heading back through Stormwind after my adventures in Auberdine. Before I left I received the [50 Quests Completed] achievement.

While walking the streets of Stormwind, I ran into a young man named [Lil Timmy] who needed to find a home for his kitten. Being the hero that I am, I knew that I had to help the boy out, so I bought his [Cat Carrier (White Kitten)]. This earned me another achievement: [Can I Keep Him?].

I was able to level up some of my professions, which got me some more achievements.
